We are the experts at custom vending solutions
Many organisations are now looking at vending solutions as a means of business improvement
Vending machines are now being used for many other purposes than the traditional vending of beverages and snacks. Businesses are utilising vending machines to increase sales, increase customer service and/or control their stock.
Self-Serve for Large Supplement Tubs
Business Issue:
Worldwide Vending is the preferred supplier of vending machines for the overwhelming majority of the 24/7 Fitness Industry. The supplements provided from these machines have been limited by the size of the product that can be dispensed from a traditional vending machine. There is a demand from club members for larger supplement tubs, which could only be fulfilled by the club over the counter during staffed hours.
Solution:
Worldwide Vending has developed a locker solution which works in conjunction with an existing vending machine. This provides the capability to dispense larger products securely. The club member selects and pays for their product as usual and the door of the locker containing their product is released, allowing the purchaser to collect their product.
Result:
Fitness club owners are able to meet the demand for a larger range of supplements, especially larger, higher value supplement tubs. This results in increased member service along with increased cash flow from supplement sales.
Supply of Safety Equipment
Business Issue:
Contractors on large building sites often turn up without the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). The builder has the option of:
- Sending the contractor home to get the appropriate PPE, which reduces productivity
- Lending the contractor the equipment which is often not returned resulting in a cost for the builder; OR
- Selling the equipment on site, which has associated stock control, administration and cash handling issues
Solution:
Worldwide Vending produced a vending machine to self-serve the protection equipment that contractors need. Contractors without the appropriate PPE can simply purchase from the vending machine. The machine is also stocked with tools that are commonly misplaced such as tape measures, pliers and screwdrivers.
As a printed tax invoice is also required, Worldwide Vending was able to provide a seamless payment solution that includes receipt of a printed tax invoice.
Result:
Building site productivity is increased and costs are reduced.

Dental Training Products
Business Issue:
Dental students require artificial teeth to practice on during their training. Ordering online was problematic for students as they need to order well ahead of time. The provider had to manage hundreds of accounts which resulted in large administrative costs.
Solution:
A vending machine from Worldwide Vending provides students with their training requirements on site and as required. Payment is via Tap and Go with a credit card.
Result:
Administrative costs are reduced for the provider and delivery times reduced from days to seconds for the student.
Towel Hire Vending
Business Issue:
A large Australian bank wanted to provide a towel hire service for staff who cycled to work. Staff wanted to shower and change before starting work. The bank required a solution that would enable them to control both the towel hire and payment processes. A vending solution with its self-serve capability seemed the best option, however the towels proved to be too large to vend successfully from a standard vending machine.
Solution:
Worldwide Vending provided a modified locker solution which is similar to our Gym locker solution (see Self-Serve for Large Supplement Tubs, above). A small vending machine was used to control the locker cabinets and to support the “tap and go” payment system. As the towels are dispensed from the lockers and not the small vending machine itself, we were able to configure the small vending machine to provide storage space for extra towels.
Result:
The bank now provides a towel service for a small hire fee ($2). A commercial towel hire company restocks the lockers and takes away used towels for laundering. There are no cash handling issues as all transactions are cashless using credit or debit card. The hire fees collected by the bank are used to offset the cost of the towel service and staff no longer need to provide their own towels.
